Google debute his Phone


Google and US telecom carrier T-Mobile unveiled on Tuesday the first mobile device powered by the internet search gaint's software, Android.

The T-Mobile G1 will cost $179(approx Rs.8200) and will be available in the US from October 22, said Cole Brodman, T-Mobile chief technology and innovation officer, adding that other markets will see the phone next year.

Brodman called the phone, built by HTC, a "game-changing" device that will "Power the new mobile internet of the future".

The phone runs on Google's open-source Android software, which the company hopes will eventually become the dominant operating system for mobile phones and make handsets compatible with the networks of multiple carriers.

The G1 offers many of the features of Apple's iPhone, including a touchscreen, high-speed internet browsing, Wi-Fi, email and SMS texting. It can also run applications and services such as Gogle Maps with Street View, push-Gmail and YouTube.

Unlike the iPhone, however it comes with a trackball and a slide-out Qwerty keyboard.

The G1 will also feature Android Market, where customer can find and download applications to expand and personalize their phone.

Mobile Number Portability

As said by telecom secretary Siddhartha Behura, the mobile number portability(MNP) will start with in week.

He said the agency would be finalised in three months. "Six months from thereafter, we will roll out the MNP services in the metros initially and later in the rest of the country," said Behura.

when this service will launch, a subscriber can change mobile service providers without having to change the original mobile phone number.

Nokia Going to Launch Two N-Series Handsets

Nokia just going to launch 2 new handsets to add their popular N-Series range – The Nokia N79 and N85. The N79 has a typical candy bar form factor where as we see yet another N81 slash N95 type design in the N85.

The Nokia N79 offers fully loaded multimedia functions with feature GPS support, it will offer 5 MP camra with autofocus with Carl Zeiss optics with dual LED flashes and sharp video light caputre.

It is very good option to style conscious peoples, the Nokia N79 comes with Xpress-on smart covers that are available in five cool colors: Light Sea Blue, Espresso Brown, Olive Green, White and Coral Red.

It’s a 3G enabled handset with HSDPA speeds and Wi-Fi support as well, aside from the usual EDGE and GPRS. It also has Bluetooth with A2DP support. The N79 comes equipped with a 2.4 inch TFT display
with a 240 x 320 pixel resolution sporting 16 million colors.
